Talk Talk is the worse provider in the world. Besides my download speed was 24Mb it has never went over 3.5 or 4Mb. When I joined in 2010 I was told I would get 30 pounds off the connection fee of 69.99 – which never happened. This would appear on my first bill but it never did and, when I called customer services that said I had to have a proof of the promised discount in a letter, which I didn’t have as everything was done through the phone. I’ve heard other people complaining about the same issue, which is totally misleading from Talk Talk. I’m happily cancelling my contract with them today and moving to O2. Oh, and apparently Talk Talk installed an electronic blocker on my line so I will have to have a new line with my new provider. I wasn’t told about that when I first signed with them. To understand this issue I just called Talk Talk’s customer services and was transferred 5 times (!!) as no one could explain the problem and I had to speak to 5 different departments. I don’t usually write reviews but this is an exception as Talk Talk services are really utterly bad.
i left talk talk and now get calls from them saying they are from Microsoft
well where do u start with talk talk the phone line has given up the ghost the internet gose of and on every 2 mins and there idear of how to fix it is to open up the bt box on the wall yehh right like iam an bt engener …wells here somthing for u talk talk no more money out of me merry xmas
I signed up to TalkTalk’s broadband service which was supposed to be up to 8Mb.
After contacting their (Bombay) support centre, they told me I should be getting up to 3Mb given my telephone line characteristics, but I only get 0.4Mb speed.
I can’t wait to get away from this cowboy operation.
Talk Talk are the bane of my life. I experience internet drop outs every night, of varying lengths. I cannot wait to leave Talk Talk when my contract (which turns out to have been 24 months) expires next spring. Would not recommend.
TalkTalk Bully, Scare and deceive you. For 6 months I paid for Broadband and free evening and weekend calls. A new package they gave me when I tried to leave them. I only ever received broadband. They then said I should have changed my calls over from BT to them despite them saying they would deal with it. I have paid way over the top for broadband only because of this. They have now hounded me and scared me for futher payment of £42 79pence because I left them when they refused to refund me They say this is the leaving fee plus administration. Iam really scared.
a young man called at the flat, uninvited at 7.30pm friday about two weeks ago. his speel was quite good and talk talk wasn’t even mentioned specifically until i noticed the talk talk logo on his notepad. Before a comment re i could have refused to speak to him, that’s true but i do tend to try to be courteous rather than outright rude. by the way, he was not directly employed by talk talk but working on commision. foolish me, i signed up. thank God i immediately found this site and within minutes was cncelling the contract and informing orange and bt i intended to remain with them. thanks, all you people who have contacted this site. you have saved me a whole lot of hassle!
Since Talktalk took over Tiscali my broadband has been rubbish. Every evening when I try to log in it says ‘no response from talktalk’. Telephoning them is useless, they don’t answer e-mails and I am changing to BT. I will fight them all the way if they try to charge me a termination fee. I just can’t put into words what I think of them!!
I’m currently with Talk talk. I regret having left plusnet and am going to go back. I don’t care that I’m under contract. I will refuse to pay the termination fee because they have not provided an adequate service. I’ve had a fault on my telephone line now for at least two days. They are not resolving it. Sorting it out over the phone is impossible and emails are not replied to. I’ll go to ofcom or trading standards if I have to.
