been with bt for bout 3 yrs, never once have they let me down, i had a fault on my line approx 3 months ago an it was sorted in 48 hrs , since then my broadband speed has increased to 10mb when they told me i could only get 6 (bonus for me ), had to speak to tech support when my hub packed in they sent me a new one within 2 days an compensated me 1 months internet bill cos of the fault, their advisers are so friendly and efficient and get the job done even the guys in india!,fair do’s prices are more expensive but you pay for the service you get! 10/10 from me, would never go to anyone else!
This service has been pretty crap. It seems BT are lagging way behind other providers. the home hub stops computers connecting and the wireless speed drops to 5mbps instead of about 65mbps. BT say they have upgraded my exchange to 20mb broadband but they can only provide me with 6 mb. Im off to virgin or another company who seem to be able to install fibre cables. Why are BT so slow off the mark and still using copper cables.
Bt Broadband has been the worst experience of my life. They mixed up our account with the previous occupants of our property and it took nearly 2 years to resolve! Billing is consistently incorrect. Speed and reliability is extremely poor. Like others here have said, I chose BT because I thought I could trust such a large and established company. Their customer service and technical support services are awful and their call centre databases do not link up, so even if someone agrees to resolve your problem, it doesnt show up on all their systems, and so the problem never gets fully resolved. Having reached the point that my head could not take any more banging against a wall dealing with their ‘advisers’ I have left BT and gone to Sky! Would never recommend using this company- for a company that makes their money from communications, communication is the one thing they can not provide! Take a BT contract at your peril- do not say you were not warned.
I thought BT were pretty good, decent fast connection, not too many drop-outs. I thought they were pretty good that is until I actually had to speak to them due to moving house. After seven hours on the phone talking to numerous people, all of whom were utterly clueless, three seperate and subsequentially cancelled orders for the same service and HOURS of listening to their seemingly designed to drive you mad “on hold” music….I still don’t have a phone line or internet and I have been moved for three weeks now. I have now cancelled everything to do with them and have had to go with Talk-Talk who I am informed are not particularly great but sadly on my exchange they were my only other option to actually install a line. Roll on this supposed internet access improvement scheme for rural areas so I can possily have more choices.
In summary. BT seemed to provide a fairly decent service, but woe betide anyone who actually has to speak to them about anything. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced….
i just got my bt bill in and it was 103 quid.!!! but it was because i was going over my download allowance. I never got emails to tell me this,so as a “sweetner! . bt upgraded my broadband to option 3 from option 1 and wiped my bill.
Apart from that little blip. Iv been with bt for 5 years and have bt vision pay as you go.(def the best option).unlimited phone and internet for ..37 quid a month.
great customer service…
quality speeds
quality products.
GREAT TECHNICAL SUPPORT!!
Two weeks ago my ADSL service kept dropping at around 4-5pm for 2 hours. I waited a week to see if the problem would fix itself…it didnt.
Rang up technical support, they tested my line, all was not right. They got the technical support to watch my line for a couple of days around the time the line was dropping. 2 days later rang me back, sent an engineer out. Line was ok, engineer informed the local exchange. Within a day of this, the problem was sorted. I recieved curtasy calls every day to see how the line was etc..
Everything now seems to be ok. I have a direct number to contact them on (not the normal tech support num) just in case it starts happening again.
Excellent!!
Well after the horror of Orange (please see my review) I have had no problems what so ever with BT.
I have been with them for a month now but I’ve had no reason to contact customer services and was pleased that my connection was a couple of days early from my activation date. Also I received a couple of calls to say when my activation date was coming up as a reminder. very nice of them.
Home Hub is fine and very easy to set up. So far 10/10 for me.
ps I have answered the customer service questions but had to only to post this review. As stated, I have not contacted them since my connection.
After 6 mo of service I am quite happy with my broadband service from BT. The connection speed is reliable and fast.
Have been with bt for a year now and can honestly say I haven’t had a single problem. I paid a little extra out of loyalty and trust as they are one of the dearest, there is no escaping the fact. You probably get what you pay for though and I have recently been offered a £3 a month reduction and have a bt vision box which me and my family think is brilliant. All in all I think its worth it.
The set up was totally idiot proof and worked straight away.
The speed is around 6-7 mbps and rarely drops below 5mbps. I have never experienced loss of broadband so I have found it reliable thats why I have rated technical support average because I have never used it, so please dis-regard those scores.
This is my first broadband company so I nothing to compare it to but I am extremely pleased.
Finally using internet explorer is sooooo slow compared to mozilla firefox and bt yahoo browser for me. Don’t know if its relevant but I thought I would mention it!!
Have been with this provider for a while now, and apart from a problem with a BT Broadband Help download, everything has been good. True i stay only a short distance from my local exchange, but my speeds are always high at any time, maybe becuase my kids are always on You Tube/Bebo, downloading things. I just got VISION and it needs a good speed to work, so I cant fault my ISP, I read about the horrors and can only imagine how frustrating it must be, when something goes wrong.
