Relability very good. Speed average and cheaper deals elsewhere, but the relability has always swung the choice for me.

I have Bt Broadband option 1 and I consistently get fast speeds however I must say that the customer service is terrible! I use my broadband mainly for gaming and normal internet use and I would say that it is avarage.

Finally I had the regrade on my line done today and I’m now getting over 17mb/sec downstream!
It took a ittle more effort on my part so my advice is to keep trying with their customer service until you get someone who knows what is doing…I had to renew my contract for a further 12 months to have the faster broadband but it was worth it because I got a better deal which is quite competitive compared to the current market.
All that because BT had a cap on the line to not exceed 8mb/sec.
However I’m very happy overall with how things turned out so I’m submitting a more favourable review this time. Looks like I’m staying with BT too which is the best possible outcome.

I’m a BT broadband customer since 2006 when I moved home and I’m overall happy with the service except for the occasional glitch. A year into my subscription they begun to cap my broadband during peak times because I was a heavy user to the point of not being able to access even a streaming service ( I was getting speeds of less than 0.5 meg/sec , sometimes even as low as 250k/sec. ) I’m glad that they have lifted this policy now and instead cap the p2p traffic, leaving the speed for other applications unaffected.
Other than that my broadband speed has been acceptable for my IP profile of a 8 meg as I have been getting consistently between 5 and 7 meg. Disconnection of the service – where I have to reset the router to get the connection back – has also been limited to a couple of times a week since switching to the latest version of the Home Hub.
However as they have been advertising faster broadband for a while now and I’m a little upset that they repeatedly informed me I was gonna get an increase of speed once their exchanges in my area were upgraded ( they mentioned 10 to 12 meg ). Furthermore, I got an email from their migration department on the 23/7 that the work at the exchange was completed and I would be able to enjoy faster broadband now. Alas, I got my hopes up only to be told that my line would not support more than 7 meg, the same maximum speed I’m getting since 2006.
Their failure to follow up on that promise might be the only reason I would consider switching to a different provider. I don’t mind the fact that BT charges more than the others as long as I get a stable service and that has been the case. But I’m talking to BT at the moment to establish why they have failed in their promise to provide a faster broadband, while at the same time they were advertising it for new customers in my area for the past 2 years.
I’m looking to find a service provider that can give me a stable broadband like BT but at higher speeds. This is however not going to be Talk Talk; they claim they can offer me a 12.3 meg internet but I was taken aback by the policies and aggressive attitude of their sales people. It looks like they’re desperate for customers and that doesn’t bode well. The reviews I’m reading in this site are not encouraging either. After I managed to cancel the service with Talk Talk I’m still being pestered by their agencies who are looking to make me change my decision on the basis of offering a cheap service. That put me off Talk Talk for good. I didn’t have the pleasure of using their broadband but the customer service alone was unacceptable.
BT’s customer service is ok, no more incompetent than other SP’s but at least they are polite.
