In 24 Months, I have only had to call Demon once. They had a hardware failure at their end, and the service ticket was closed out within 6 hours.
So far - very happy with the service and support :)

Whilst the connection offered by Demon is o.k, the customer service is appalling. The so called technical support staff are simply reading off a screen and have no knowledge to back up what they are saying. They continually pass you from department to department, who then pass you back to the original people you spoke to. The entire process is a joke. I have now changed our company broadband supplier to BT. In summary, because of the awful technical support, I wouldn't recommend Demon to my worst enemy!

The product is fine but the customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. On numerous occassions I had to contact the outsourced accounts dept because they had made mistakes or double charged. It took FOREVER to get this resolved. Promises weren't kept. They are just totally inept.
In the end, I had enough. Closed my account and moved to Be (which I couldn't be happier with). Demon owed me a refund which was promised by cheque "in 5-7 days", that was back in mid February and now it is three months later and they have no record of sending it out. Truly unbelievable.
Avoid Demon at all costs. There are much better choices out there.

High Latency and low bandwidth during peek times ( 6pm to 1am). Demon denied they had a problem but I've since discovered that other people are experiencing the same thing.

If your seriously considering Demon as your adsl provider, DON'T, there useless. Peak time downloads won't happen unless your happy with a sub 15k speed. If your an online games player, you might aswell quit if your going with Demon as you won't be able to play them. Pings of 200ms on a good night is what you can expect. 'Text chat' Customer services is unbelievable as you get pasted text that answers absolutely nothing and just makes your blood boil. There is a phone line but it's worse than text chat, so don't go there. Demon know they have a problem with adsl, there just not telling any of their customers for some reason, so lies is all we get. *AVOID* like your life depends on it!!
