I had difficult time with Sky from day one. The connection itself was a major issue as I had to call their customer service many times and finally they got my initial wrong and until today I don't have a sky email A/C because of this initial goof-up. I have emailed their customer service many times and they never respond. Later my connection was getting disconnected very frequently and when I called up the technical support they couldn't figure out the problem atleast 6-7 times and I was left with this disconnection problem for nearly 4-5 months & they blamed the BT line and then finally one of their good technical guys sorted out on phone within 5 mins which was the broadband problem rather than BT line!!!. I had also written to the marketing manager who offered me £ 10 as compensation and that's it, the problem was never sorted with my initials and even today I don't have an email A/C and very poor connection. I am waiting for 12 month to be over and looking for a atleast a good rather a poor ISP.

Godd value.

I've had a very very reliable connection although the speed is coming in at a bout 3 meg when I should be getting up to 8 meg.
The service team doesn't seemed to want to help with this as I've called them about 4 times.

Overall though, good value and fairly good speed. I would recommend this ISP to friends and family.

Very pleased with sky overall, only thing is the technical department aren’t very technical my router locked up after two days requesting a user name and password, which I never received , so all I need to do is phone up and get the username and password, that sounds nice and easy right, wrong.
The router locked up at 8.55pm couldn’t get through that night the technical department closes at 9pm the next morning I get put through to a complete joker who messed me about for 25 minutes until I managed to negotiate it out of him. This isn’t really sky’s fault but on the installation CD comes a years subscription to McAfee security center, I must have had the remains of an old McAfee product hiding somewhere, after the install my system was crippled which took the best part of a day to fix.

I took this on as I was a SKY subscriber therefore in theory would get free broadband. I had problems with the initial connection, once connected it would fail, and then I eventually cancelled my broadband and sky tv due an absolutely terrible service - would not recommend

Switched from Pipex Homecall, which was dire. They had a rumoured FUP of only 3GB, monthly during peak times. Peak times were between 5-11pm 7 days a week. During these peak times I was lucky to get 0.4Mb/s downstream. Now on SKY I get about 14Mb/s at any time of day or night. The line is rock solid and the FUP is rumoured to be around 250GB per month minimum! All this for £10 per month. Excellent!
