KEEP AWAY!
This ISP has some connection with Biscit/V21. My Broadband was cut off 3 weeks ago and since then the only communication that I have had is a series of automated emails saying that they are going to debit my credit card. They have now taken four payments in the space of a month which must surely be fraud. They do not reply to the phone. They do not respond to messages left on their portal. I have terminated the contract but this has not stopped them taking money when they feel like it. Bunch of crooks.

Beware of using this ISP.
Their major contract conditions, eg 3 month minimum contract period, are buried deep down in their small print.
And their use of 'continous authorisation' of debit/credit cards to remove money from accounts, means that the account-holder effectively loses control over their own bank accounts. That is, they have your number, and can 'swipe' your card when they feel like it. In my case at 3 week intervals, rather than the monthly contract.
Technically, their service has been fine for me. Just about everthing else about them stinks.

I signed up to JJTEK Online in June 2004 and have been very pleased with the service. I have not tried to get my MAC code because the service is so good that I have not ever considered transferring to another ISP, so I don't know what JJTEK's policy is on that. I pay my monthly subscription by direct debit and at no time have been asked to pay by credit card. When I had problems with my setup (my own fault because I had my username wrong), I phoned JJTEK and told them my problem. They promised to ring back and did so within 15 minutes with a solution. Well done JJTEK from a very satisfied customer!!!

JJTEK Online appeared to be a good value service when I signed up in November 2003 but although the connection speed and reliability of connection to the internet was excellent their email system was prone to develop constant faults.
JJTEK Online moreover do not supply as a matter of policy the MAC Code to anyone who wishes to transfer away to another ISP and have not signed up to the industry Broadband Service Provider Migration Code of Practice.
What this means is that if you wish to transfer (migrate) to another ISP at some future date after the expiry of your minimum contract period with JJTEK Online you are unable to do so because BT require the MAC Code assigned to your JJTEK Online account in order to arrange the transfer.
The only alternative therefore is to apply to your new ISP as a new Broadband subsciber and pay any necessary setup charges again because migration is not available from JJTEK Online.
This is a deliberate restrictive practice operated by JJTEK Online.
Furthermore JJTEK Online collect the monthly subscription from your credit card account and not from your bank account.
Whereas you can stop a direct debit payment from your bank by informing your bank not to pay, you cannot stop a payment from your credit card being taken unless JJTEK Online agree!!
This is a further restrictive practice on behalf of JJTEK Online.
Beware of using this ISP.
