Visionary Communications announced that the company has expanded their DSL footprint to 21 cities in Southern Colorado. This announcement comes on the heels of the company’s expansion into Utah in January of this year. The expanded footprint allows Visionary access to DSL in 253 communities in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Visionary’s expansion allows the company to provide internet service at a regional level, essential to businesses that require firewall and VPN support, support often neglected by cable companies or large DSL providers. The expansion provides access to secure business services from Visionary in the states of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah.
Visionary uses DSL circuits to create private networks, emulating the traditional, and more expensive frame relay service.
“The ability to create private networks at DSL prices is the next phase of our business,” states Brian Worthen, President and CEO of Visionary. “Businesses are forced into creating private networks by today’s applications, and we can help them do that.”
Worthen added that the ability to create private networks in multiple states is desirable, as a business can work with a single vendor for data and internet services.
Visionary Communications is a pioneering privately-owned Broadband Provider in the Rocky Mountain region. The company deploys broadband services via DSL, Frame Relay, ATM, and broadband wireless on a network that spans from Seattle WA to Phoenix AZ.
