Visionary breaks $25 per month DSL broadband price

(PRWEB) October 30, 2004

Visionary has rolled out a broadband price on DSL that provides internet users with a service priced well below the typical $ 30 monthly broadband price point. The price of $ 25/mo is the company’s test of the market to determine the speed of adoption, and the economies of scale that can be generated by a large customer base.

“We know our customers want broadband, we know they need broadband,” says Jeremy Malli, Network Engineer and self-proclaimed Alpha Geek. “Broadband will be required of many future products, from DVRs to digital cameras, to on-demand movies.”

Visionary has been rapidly transitioning customers from dialup to broadband, and plans to continue the trend. The company has been focused on developing broadband in rural markets, and continues to expand its service line. Recently, the company has expanded to offer DSL in Buffalo and Douglas, with Lander and Riverton scheduled to arrive in December.

“We watch providers in populated areas offer DSL for $ 29.95, $ 26.95, even $ 21.95 per month,” states Brian Worthen, company President. “It is quite difficult to provide pricing that low in rural markets, but we are focused on doing so.”

Visionary Communications is Wyoming’s most diverse, privately-owned Internet Service Provider, serving more than 90 communities in the state. Visionary specializes in providing Internet service in rural areas. Their web site is located at http://www.vcn.com.
