Hi I have been with AOL UK for 5 years have a download speed of 2.2 Mbps, and have the new free wireless router receive 5 bars on my laptop connection logo.

Personally I cannot fault AOL to date, I have AOL Talk Unlimited and have halved my phone bill.

Also when I look at what other ISP's charge for their Technical Support I am glad that I pay nothing, as I have my calls with AOL (see above)
if you do not have your calls with them they are a few pence per minute.

The call centre staff are first class where ever in the world they are, have always sorted out any problems I have had which have been very few.

All in all first class!

Ive had virgins broadband elite for a while (20mb) and was pretty happy - speeds varied between 13.7 and 18.8 - with very little downtime. In the last month its sometimes slowed to less than dial-up, with a max of 11.6, with - subjectively - much more downtime. Any reason ? Possibly virgins upgrade of 4mb to 10mb ?

Virgin maybe 20mbit service, ihad this garbage for a year once ive had dl speed at 2mbit, drops out, indian call centre, rip off attitude, false market/sales. Thank god my contract ends 15/06/08 looking at be there for adsl service 4 mbits is enough for me. Funny my days at telewest where problem service free for the most part. Be warned Virign is CRAP in every respect cant wait for it to go under...

Been with Aol nearly 3 years on 8mb Platinum package. Wont be with them much longer tho as i have seen my download speeds reduce from 4.6 to 1.64 in the last few months. Repeated phone calls to AOL do nothing except cost me a fortune. 20 mintues waiting to speak to customer services too.

Same, i am with AOL and they have been quite good... Before the last few months. Bad servers, downloads, speeds, time-outs, internet cuts, webpages never loading.. it goes on.
The main thing is connection speed halfed, im on a 2mb connection however only getting around 0.9mb connection. Sigh
