Last updated: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 2:01:00 PM GMT

Our new service for showing the reality of how broadband services stack up against each other has now been launched. Based on hundreds of speed test results, easy to understand graphs rank providers by quality, download and upload speeds.

The aim of this service is to give customers even more choice when selecting a broadband provider.

Broadband Speed Test Results

More information means better decisions for consumers.

We perform hundreds of speed tests for our users every day. With the information that we collect, we build up a pretty good picture of what is really going on in terms of broadband speeds and quality of service.

With the recent bad publicity levelled against some broadband providers for poor service, it's important for customers to have good information at hand to help select a broadband provider.

Our research helps you choose a good provider and hopefully avoid the headaches that so often come from choosing the wrong broadband provider!

I am with Tiscali broadband package right now,I am planning to cancel it as soon as I can. They have poorly customer services, some of their staff would just put you on hold (remember the number is 0870 they will get at least 4p profit per minute) they are not willing to help you to solve your problem. the most important thing is they are not loyal to customers, in fact , they are cheating customers. I was wonder how this kind of company can be survived with their poor customer services especially in the competitive market. I strongly not recommend go with this company.

I am so fed up with BT, appalling speed, appalling service. After several unsucessful hour long phonecalls and loads of emails I have given up. I emailed a complaint to them around a month ago now and they still haven't responded. Will be chasing this now and asking them to end the contract.

I pay for BT TotalBroadband Option 2 up to 8mb forget it! I live in London and get a paltry 500kb. Last year BT said my local exchange max was 4mb, this year they said 2mb now they say 1mb. Had this been an insurance product it would have been called mis selling if its goods it would be not fit for purpose but its broadband so tough, it seems. We need to orgsnise a payment strike as BT seem uninterested in the level of service.
