Last updated: Friday, November 10, 2006 11:24:00 AM GMT

Vodafone UK today announces details of its new premium broadband service, Vodafone at Home, which will be launched to Vodafone consumer contract customers on 8 January 2007. Costing 25GBP per month, including line rental, customers will receive unlimited broadband and inclusive landline calls at anytime to any UK landline, as well as 25% off calls to mobiles.

Vodaphone Broadband
  • High quality, premium broadband service supported by free 24/7 support
  • Up to 8 Mb unlimited broadband available nationwide
  • Inclusive landline calls to any UK landline
  • £25 per month, including line rental, for Vodafone consumer contract customers

Vodafone At Home meets the growing communication needs of customers, with bills for mobile and fixed communication services coming from one company, Vodafone. The premium service has been designed to offer customers the combination of excellent service quality and great value.

To ensure ease of use, Vodafone will prepare the modems for set-up before they are issued and provide 24/7 UK based technical telephone and online help. For additional peace of mind, Vodafone will also offer customers a 30-day money back guarantee. Vodafone At Home will be available to 97% of UK households from launch by utilising BT Wholesale's broadband network as announced in September 2006.

Vodafone At Home customers will receive:

  • Free connection from January
  • Free market-leading Norton Internet Security 2006 software for six months including:
    • anti virus
    • anti spam
    • parental controls
  • Free guaranteed Netgear Ethernet modem
  • 10 email addresses
  • Three free microfilters
  • Optional wireless Netgear router for £25

For even greater flexibility, customers will also be able to opt for broadband whilst on the move. With Vodafone At Home, customers can buy a half-price Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Modem, so that they can use Vodafone's 3G broadband network from their laptop wherever they are.

"The way we're packaging and delivering Vodafone At Home ensures our customers get the best experience when they buy broadband," says Tim Yates, Director of Vodafone UK's Consumer Business Unit. "With our managed roll-out and commitment to customer service we are confident that we will be able to manage demand."

"By working with BT we will be providing a market-leading mix of quality, value and service. Vodafone at Home will provide nationwide broadband coverage from day one, as well as offering the flexibility and convenience of going wireless at home and being able to access the internet on laptops when out of the home on Vodafone's 3G broadband network."

Customers can register their interest for Vodafone At Home in advance of its commercial launch on January 8, 2007 by ringing 51110 from their Vodafone mobile or 08080 551110 from their landline.

I want to get phone plus broadband to a second home in London, but your form registering interest in your new service, keeps assuming the address already has a phone - which it does not.

Hi,

I am a vodaphone business user and have just purchased a new apartment. It does not have any phone connected at all. I am trying to work out the best solution for myself for the telephone and broadband. I assume I would have to have a bt line installed before I could use the vodaphone braodband package - if so do I need bt broadband installed or just a regular bt telephone line ?

As a pensioner on a very small income i would like an all in one package ie reliable, unlike talktalk, at an affordable price, at the moment not mobile, but calls ,line rental, andquality broadband. Not a vodaphone customer yet but i think it will be worth the early termination payment toget with a good isp. So whats the real bottom line to cometo vodaphone

i am a vodaphone pay contract cust with out of contract time schedule, could go to orange as im thinking of moving my out of contract broadband from tiscali,as well. ineeda 1000 mins on mobile contract free or competitive line rental, fastish broadband low or free daytime landline calls ,ive also got 2 phone numbers at home, and several other numbers who s line rental i pay and which are ported by bt to my home number ,business lines. my biggest outlay is calls to my mobile as my home number is diverted almost full time to it. i know its complicated but if i can get an accurate and competetive quote i would but it all under one umbrella. again i have a problem of not being able to deal with your rep 6 days a week as im out on the road usually driving ,you see my point ,sunday is the only time i can talk ,my mob is 07973 743235 alan
