A report suggests that broadband take-up has fallen since April. The net number of lines added is down 16% compared to this time last year.
The report, from Point Topic, estimates that the net number of broadband lines added in the quarter was only 730,000, nearly 300,000 less than in the previous quarter and 16% down on the same quarter last year.
The report blames an ever decreasing number of available new users as more households now have broadband.
A report issued recently indicates that Swindon topped the league for the most connected town, with over 51% of households now having broadband.
