News of the 100th London exchange comes hot on the heels of Be’s launch in both Birmingham and Manchester. Part of Be’s national roll-out programme, the launch of the two cities adds over seven hundred and fifty thousand lines to the Be network, with 485,000 lines now activated in Birmingham and 275,000 lines in Manchester.

“We are delighted to hit this milestone in our roll-out programme,” said Dana Pressman, Managing Director of Be. “There is a lot of talk in the marketplace about unbundling exchanges at the moment, but the investment, time and effort required to successfully unbundled large volumes of exchanges is often underestimated.”

“We are really pleased with the speed and success of our aggressive exchange unbundling programme and what we have achieved thus far is just the start. Over the coming months we will be increasing our footprint and bringing the fastest speeds and best value to more and more people across the UK,” concluded Pressman.

To celebrate the 100th London exchange going live, Londoners can enjoy up to 24 meg unlimited broadband for just £20 per month forever (reduced from £24 per month and including free connection). Customers simply need a BT telephone line that is connected to a London exchange in which Be has installed its equipment. To register for this 100th exchange offer simply visit the Be website and quote promotional code ‘EXCHANGE100’ by 31 May 2006.
