Last updated: Tuesday, January 31, 2006 1:05:00 PM GMT

Until recently, most users of the Skype free VoIP (Voice over IP) telephone service will have done so using a headset and microphone attached to their PC. Now, users can make and accept Skype calls automatically via their existing telephone with a new product from Dynamode.

The Dynamode VoIP TalkBox is a small, elegant device that simply plugs into any existing home or office telephone socket and the USB port of a PC and allows a Skype user to make and receive as many free calls as they like, to anywhere in the world, as naturally as any local call.

Advanced features also allow the automatic forwarding of inbound Skype calls to a mobile as well as a call waiting function and parallel phone ringing in up to five locations. The unit is self powered via the PC's USB port and is only the size of the palm of a hand.

According to Hoj Parmar of Dynamode, "The Dynamode TalkBox makes using the amazing Skype technology a practical and highly attractive proposition for anyone with a broadband connection. The TalkBox is ridiculously easy to install and set up."
