Incognito Software Inc. today announced the release of Broadband Command Center (BCC) 5.1, a carrier class dynamic multimedia device provisioning platform. This new release is specifically includes support of SIP MTAs for all broadband networks including Cable MSOs, Local and IXC Carriers and Wireless operators. Dynamic multimedia device provisioning delivers significant value to broadband network providers deploying thousands to millions of SIP endpoints.

Static or manual configuration is time consuming and presents many challenges to service providers trying to streamline rollout of these devices. Since SIP device configuration is not yet standardized, each vendor’s device configuration file format is unique. Due to its state-of-the-art dynamic file generation architecture, Incognito has added dynamic SIP file generation and vendor templating to respond to industry requirements.

In conjunction with its long-term partner, Motorola, and demand from mutual customers, Incognito created a vendor template for Motorola’s VT1000 SIP MTAs as well as other Motorola SIP-based devices. Incognito will be adding support for additional vendors in its September release of Broadband Command Center.

Cable MSOs will greatly benefit from this advanced technology when combined with Broadband Command Center current support for DOCSIS and PacketCable dynamic provisioning. MSOs that already have a large investment in PacketCable may continue to support their existing PacketCable networks while expanding their voice and service networks with SIP.

Incognito’s BCC device provisioning support is network agnostic. Carriers deploying PON and DSL based Triple Play networks benefit from Broadband Command Center’s current xDSL Provisioning adding provisioning support for embedded and standalone SIP MTAs.

“SIP is a significant disruption to broadband providers of voice and multimedia services. SIP has emerged as the application standard for all IP-based networks. This provides broadband providers with a large selection of products and vendors as well as creating an opportunity to offer an array of new multimedia services.” said Patricia Steadman, CEO Incognito Software Inc. “Incognito has invested in building a carrier class provisioning platform which has the flexibility to support new standards as they emerge such as SIP. The incorporation of SIP into Broadband Command Center has been a key strategy of Incognito to expand into all broadband markets.”
