Avonline, The UK’s Leading Rural Satellite Broadband Provider, To Attend The Pembrokeshire County Show 17-19 August 2010
(Vocus) August 14, 2010
Avonline will be at stand E24 at The Pembrokeshire County Show, the largest 3-day Agricultural County Show in Wales. Visited by over 100,000 people every year, the show offers a wide range of fun and entertainment from livestock displays and equine competitions to food halls offering Pembrokeshire’s finest local produce.
For over 5 years, Avonline has been providing Welsh customers who were limited with slow or no broadband in rural areas with a fast broadband connection, wherever they live, using Satellite. With a significant number of visitors expected from rural communities, Avonline will be promoting the Broadband Support Scheme and their best selling Tooway Satellite Broadband service. Under the Welsh Assembly’s Broadband Support Scheme, eligible customers in Wales can get their satellite broadband hardware and installation paid for with up to a £1,000 grant. The scheme is available to people in areas where a basic broadband connection of at least 512 kilobits per second is not available. To support the Scheme, Avonline is offering their market leading 3.6Mbps download and 384Kbps upload service free for the first 3 months with ongoing services charges thereafter reduced to a new low price of just £24.99 per month.
Craig Roberts, Avonline’s Broadband Services Manager said, “The Pembrokeshire County Show offers us the opportunity to show the Welsh community how easy it is for them to get fast reliable broadband services through satellite.”
He continued, “At Avonline we have campaigned for wider access to broadband for rural communities for many years. With an office in Cardiff and Welsh-speaking staff ready to help, we already have a strong customer base across Wales who rely on our broadband service”.
Avonline’s broadband installation consists of a satellite dish plus a modem. In addition, the Tooway service has the ability to deliver a money saving telephone service (VoIP) and now has the added value option of receiving Freesat High Definition digital television services from the same satellite dish.
