TSX higher as commodities offset jobs data
Commodity stocks pushed the Toronto stock market to a sharply higher close Friday after a strong earnings report from the U.S. resource sector helped balance an underwhelming American jobs reading.

ITU Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General Elected today by Plenipotentiary Conference
Member States of the International Telecommunication Union today elected Dr Hamadoun Touré of Mali as Secretary-General of ITU for a second four-year term. The election took place in Guadalajara, Mexico during the morning Plenary session of the 18th ITU Plenipotentiary Conference.
