Today i got my Virgin Broadband 4 mbps
the problem is we are sharing the same connection
we just hav one ethernet wire
when i plug the wire into my laptop (Vista home premium) net works
but wen i plug my other friend's laptops, net doesnt just work
the vista based laptops show that its acquiring IP address and fails to get new ip
but wen i again plug the wire in my lappy net again runs
is there any mac binding associated with my Laptop that my friends anre not able to connect with theirs ??
secondly i also purchased Azureware AW-GR520 wireless router
what is the default login username and password to access its homepage 192.168.0.1 ??

| As far as i know, Virgin do have a single-recipient mac binding clause but TEch Support should sort it out (tell them that you weren't told about it and they'll refund the charges too!)

Hello,
The only way to find that out is only if you try and check the same with virgin.
But they would say that if it works with one PC and not the others not their issues.
Still what you can check is if you can change the DNs manually for the other PC's and also try and check if you can get another Lan cable and check if both the connections work then.
Regards,
Brad
