Hi

Im with o2 premium up to 20mb with the wireless box II, i called up as I was only getting 2 to 3 mb on speedtest.net and download transfer reate of around 200kb/sec they said it was because i was using an extension telephone cable from the livingroom to the modem up the stairs and that I should get a broadband cable.

so I bought an RJ11 cable and changed it over and on speedtest.net im now getting up to 12mb/sec but im still only downloading files at around 200kb/sec.... shouldnt since my download speed has increased my transfer rate would increase also??

My uncle stays next door and is on talk talk and he gets around 12mb/sec on speedtest.net and we both downloaded the same file and his transfer rate was 1.5mb/sec while im still on 200kb/sec.

can someone explaine why that is?? and if there is something I can do to increase the transfer rate.

Thanks
