Hi all,
Here is a brief explanation on the removal of the speed test software from broadband-help.com.
From October 2nd 2009, we will no longer be offering a speed test facility on site.
The speed test that we offered was professional grade software supplied by a third party. The software license requires an annual renewal of several hundred dollars.
In addition, we needed custom hosting for bandwidth reasons. Again, at a cost.
In the current economic climate, we are unable to cover the costs of providing this broadband speed test facility with the revenue that we receive from advertising alone.
It is for this reason that we have had to make the hard decision to remove the speed test.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope that you can understand the justification behind this.
