Ok, the 20 mb has been installed and been up and running for 2 days.
I had some initial issues with the set-up as the installation engineer hadn't activated the modem mac address meaning i could not activate my account. After several phone calls to tech support ( which I have been assured I wont be charged the 25p/min) The mac address was activated and I was away.

My first tests were with a direct connection to one pc resulted in a full 20meg connection.
I then went through my router that has 4 pc's connected including 1 web hosting m/c. This gave me an instant reduction in speed to 15 Meg, which I accept as being the fault of an old router. I have speed tested the service at regualr intervals over the last couple of days and it has remained at 15 Meg + or - 1 Meg.

Overall I have pleased with the quality of service I now have although through the help desk and tech support was a real pain and I am still trying to sort the TV package that was part of the deal ( half the channels are missing) and an engineer is due out on the 27th Dec.

I too have been with NTL since the outset. The QOS has been excellent. Currently on 4 MB and just requested the 20 MB. I hope the QOS remains as good.

I have been with this ISP from the start and there service has improved slowly over the years and today I would'nt have any other.

I used Virgin Mobile for a while but it was junk for me. The coverage was spotty and the phone I had did not work.

I just got a Virgin Mobile! It is great. Has the push-button talk and has a good plan. The reception is great. So much better than my old mobile.

I have Virgin Mobile for cellular, and I got a advert recently saying you could try out their broadband for a really low price. I do not know the exact amount, I will have to check. Unfortunately I am under contract for 9 more months, so I can not try it out. Good tip, though, if someone else out there is looking.

I went to a friends house at the weekend. They have just had a baby and his wife wanted to have a break sometimes and go on the internet so she can be near baby but also have a break. They have just got connected with virgin broadband.

I was really impressed with the level of service they said they recieved and also at what they pay each month which is about £15.00.

Anyone else had good exeperiences from them?
