You get yahoo mail and such too or do you get BT mail?

RE: BT Yahoo!

That sounds right to me. I was doing some research and some of the providers in the US have a partnership with Yahoo! as well.

It is like SBC Yahoo! DSL, in some places, for example. So I think it is the same thing with BT.

RE: BT Yahoo!

I always thought Yahoo was just the name of the BT service. What does Yahoo mean? It is like yahoo.com? How do they use that on their broadband connection?

RE: BT Yahoo!

I have not heard about Yahoo! doing any of the technical stuff. I always thought it was a partnership where British Telecom offered the actual dsl/adsl service and then Yahoo! provided the webhosting, e-mail services, games and whatever else.

RE: BT Yahoo!

Interesting information. I was reading an article the other day and I do not think Yahoo! does anything with the actual connection other than to provide some of the services like e-mail and web portal features. Still seems like a very strong partnership. I wonder why Google does not partner up with a big ISP?

BT Yahoo!

I just got off a chat with my sister and she is raving about her new internet access. She says it is super-fast and that they were so helpful in setting it up and they gave her all kinds of software to use on her computer and some games to play.

So even though it was not me, I thought I would pass it along. I will not mention who she had before, as that may be coloring her perception of BT. Her old provider was doing a pretty poor job.
