He answered all my questions and was very confidennt about his stuff, add to that a 50 days money back guarantee and I felt more than happy to give them a whirl.

I was advised it would take 6 - 10 day for connection, when I would recieve alerts by text, when the hardware would arrive, when the payments would start, everything you could possibly need was explained clearly. I cannot fault the way the call was handeled at all.

I then explained that after 23 days without service it would be great if they could move the connection date forward and he said he would see what he could do. Nice man.

30 mins later a text to say thank you.

Two hours later a text to inform me that the connection had been moved to four days.

4 hours later, I got a text to explain that now my hardware would be delivered early too.

A day later I got a text to inform me my new router and set up material was being shipped and it arrived the day before connection. On the day of connection I got a text in the morning advising me when my direct debit would start and another shorlty afterwards to explain the broadband was live.

Later that evening when I got home form the pub, I plugged in the router, put in the user name and it was working straight off.

The speed is great, have suffered no losses of connection I really have nothing negative to say at all.

This is my first experience of hassle free telecoms/broadband - ever, I am still pretty shocked. Not only in this sector but generally in life its rare a company gets their act together like this to offer a great service and great customer service. I am very impressed and they deserve all the praise they get.

If you are on the look out for new broadband then defo choose o2, get your tv and phone calls seperately, this is the best deal in town. I'll never use tiscali or sky or bt or any of those companies again.

Cheers,

up and down load.

Talk Talk -Praise

Ive been with Talk Talk now for 7 months and have to say i am more than happy.I have been with many providers over the years, including NTL - whose box kept turning off giving me the dreaded 169 ip problem that everyone seemed to encounter.
I was then with BT broadband when i moved into my new property [£125 to install line - fantastic] - i detest BT and the fact it is a private company yet acts as a monopoly. 5p minimum call charges, horrific charges for none direct debit, the most expensive broadband packages? The white router thing that constantly turned off?

I decided to switch last year as i was disgusted that BT wouldnt give me a discount - so,without even worrying,i figured that the local network was BT's,so,it worked fine - i would move to talk talk.Im on inetrnational option 3 - i get 5mb - same as BT,i use 5 machines on it,the router resets itself once a month, but thats not a hassle. Im saving over £25 a month - my landline calls are FREE!No minimum 5p call fee etc.
I have called customer sevices once - and my problem was remedied - the guy in India was very savvy and helped me through a slight technical issue.

i wish more people would put up some good reports about them - i know many people who have talk talk and are very happy - i would rather eat my own router than be with BT.

One happy talk talk guy here.

02 Broadband

UK customers care, fast replies, all installed as per time line and a perfect re-freshing change...if O2 keep this up they will change the face of UK broadband suppliers this is quality.

Virgin

I went to a friends house at the weekend. She says it is super-fast and that they were so helpful in setting it up and they gave her all kinds of software to use on her computer and some games to play.

So even though it was not me, I thought I would pass it along. I will not mention who she had before, as that may be coloring her perception of BT. Her old provider was doing a pretty poor job.

Falconnet (ENTANET Re-Seller)

I had the misfortune of signing up with Tiscali....

After 5 weeks of 0.3Mb speed on a 8Mb line
I went with Entanet reseller FALCONNET
www.falconnet.co.uk

it is absolutely brilliant

freephone 0800 UK support and NOT in a mass call centre...1-2-1
monthly contract (not happy? leave!)
High speeds (8mb)
Fixed IP address
NO PORT BLOCKING OR TRAFFIC SHAPING (as advertised)
free webspace
upgrade/downgrade month to month
Orange Broadband

Have had very bad experiences with Tiscali and BT and was beginning to dispair of finding and OK supplier.

Having read lots of negative posts about Orange I had not considered them however a friend recommended them.

Signed up received Box when told I would. Fortunately someone followed up with me yesterday to make sure everything was okay, and it was! Then they offered me a deal on a wireless router. They said I could extend my contract for a year and get the router for free. I decided to give it a shot.

It will be here in two weeks they say. Woohoo. It also includes one card for the computer too.

Demon

Does anyone else use Demon Internet? I use it and it is okay. I have 2 mb. I do not really have anything to compare it to at this point, though. I am able to play some videos and upload my pictures much faster than when I had dial-up. Besides the speed test is there any good way to tell if the service is good?
