Check it out. I have been happy.

RE: Need Help Deciding

Crumbs, Have you considered Demon? I know I got mad at them, but it was my fault, so they are still pretty good. They are only 19 pounds a month and it is unlimited. Certainly you can come up with that.

What kind of work do you do?

RE: Need Help Deciding

My parents have NTL and I do not like it. My friends who live alone are too poor for internet or too pissed to use it. I just want something cheap! I saw something about free metered access, does anyone know what that is or how you get it?

RE: Need Help Deciding

I would check with your family and mates first. Check out there services and find out how much they pay. You can ask them to try it out to see what kind of speed you get. (Use some of the speed tests mentioned in the other thread). Then compare and contrast their service and interruption experiences and how much they pay.

This is a great resource of information, but sometimes you need some hands-on experience to see the differences.

RE: Need Help Deciding

There are a lot of services out there. I guess it partially depends on how much you want to spend. You did not reallly specify a price. Let us know how much you can afford and maybe we can make some suggestions.
RE: Need Help Deciding

Did you see the information about Bulldog's Pay as you go service?

That might be something to look at if you are on a tight budget. I think dial-up is not likely to be an answer as they are more expensive, sometimes than broadband. Have you researched all your options at your new location?

RE: Need Help Deciding

Nobody out there wants to help me out? My parents are not going to give me any money to help me when I move. Since it is costing me money to move, what is my cheapest option to get internet access when I first move? Even if it is only for a month until I have more money. What is the minimum I can spend? I do not need it to be fast right away.
