Hello and thanks for reading
I am looking around for a new supplier - currently with SKY - after hunting the net I stumbled across something I have never seen before:
Your local exchange is - somewhere
The ADSL Max speed is - 6.5Mbs
Does this therefore mean it would be useless to take a 16Mbs service?
Many thanks

No, assuming AOL have kit in that exchange you would get ADSL2 (not ADSL1 as you've quoted). Have a look at www.samknows.com and see if AOL LLU is available on your exchange. With 6.5meg on ADSL1 you should see perhaps 10meg or so on ADSL2.
Having said that it might be worth reviewing AOL's customer service before deciding on them. They are not favoured by many.

Hello,
I think ADSL2 is been used by very few ISP's for now. but you should check in samknows.com for sure.
IT will help you out finding if your exchange is ADSL2 ready as well.

Brad
