Campaign For Better Broadband From TalkTalk
TalkTalk has made it first onto the list for for our better broadband campaign. Every day we consitently receive complaints from dissatisfied customers of TalkTalk.
In the interests of raising broadband service standards in the UK, (see our mission statement), we’re taking an active role in trying to get TalkTalk listening to its customers and up its game.
This campaign is all about publicity. The more people that know about TalkTalk service standards (or lack of), the more pressure can be applied to TalkTalk to up its game and deliver the high standards of services that you expect.
What We’re Aiming To Achieve
Simply this: To be more prominent in search engines than TalkTak itself. What this will mean is that anyone searching on line for “TalkTalk” will see honest customer user reviews before getting to the TalkTalk sales site.
By reading reviews, at least potential customers can make an informed decision about the risks and potential benefits of signing up.
How You Can Help
Here are some simple but powerful ways that you can help:

If enough people take action, we can do something about TalkTalk’s service standards.

I am with bt but sighned up with talktalk but really want to stay with bt how do i cancel talktalk.
Well, I’ve had enough. My connection rarely drops out these days, but at around 150-200kbps I may as well have dial-up.
Talk Talk are a shambles. Ignorant staff who don’t understand English and even less their own product, who badger customers with unsolicited phone calls and expect to sell their wares despite breathtaking rudeness. Example;
“Good evening, is that Mr Bronty?”
“Yes.”
“Are you the broadband account holder?”
“You know I am, or you wouldn’t be calling.”
SLAM. Down goes the phone after a tirade of abuse from the customer “service” representative.
This lot do not deserve to still be trading, and I for one am off to pastures new. Vote with your feet and wallets, folks.
Talk Talk do nothing to warrant receiving your cash.
I’ve had no end of problems with TalkTalk, some of it caused by them trying to get higher speed ADSL out of their LLU kit than my line will support, and their 4 tier, no engineers, support not understanding (or not being allowed to understand) the problems that low signal to noise ratios and therefore higher error rates cause!
When there is a BT:Openreach problem, like the master sockets or line going faulty close to my house, trying to get them to order a BT:Openreach is like trying to get blood out of a stone! When the BT:Openreach engineer does turn up the problem is fixed, usually in minutes!
In and 18 month contract I’ve had 3 BT:Openreach faults and an almost continual arguement about the broadband quality and reliabilty! It drops out either for short periods (a few seconds) several times a day and has periods of days or weeks where it does not just drop out, but does a full blown disconnect as often as every 3-4 minutes, after sepnding nearly 2 minutes doing a reconnect, and the support team sending me NFF texts whilst it is happening!
If I had bought the equipment supplied, I would have started a ‘not fit for purpose’ claim, as only the router supplied has lasted more than 6 months of normal use in working order, and that had to be replaced after 15 months, I would expect all electronic devices to work reliably for at least 3-5 years these days!
Unfortunatly, the system where BT:Openreach owns the line and TalkTalk provides the service allows both companies to claim that the other is at fault, rather than TalkTalk, with whom the contract exists, actually picking up the issue and getting it resolved!
I have given up asking them to fix the problems! I just tell them I’m disputing the bill after talking to an Indian Callcentre, an Irish Callcentre and a random Callcentre, only to repeat everything said to the last person again!
