Wireless LAN Access Point….(UK)?

I need to buy one of these to connect to my existing Wired “BT Voyager 220v ADSL Voice Router”.
I need it so that i can make my New WIFI enabled Laptop Wireless.
Just wondering what are the things to look for, when buying one of these items?
And what Brands would you recommend?
I live in a One Bedroom Flat, so the rooms are quite close together, and are on the same Ground Level.

Avoid Belkin. Other than that, an AP is an AP is an AP.
Edit: I guess the other 2 answerers don’t know what an “access point” is… It’s exactly what you need if you already have your router and you just want to add wireless ability. A new wireless router won’t have the VOIP handset with it, and you’d have to set it all up from scratch.

what you need ir a wireless router with built in modem, do away with your voyager and connect the modem/router to the phone line instead, i recommend netgear routers as they are reliable and very easy to set up, they have an auto setup feature, if you live in a small flat then just a basic one will be fine, such as a dg834g, i myself use a netgear dg834wpn which is slightly more advanced but just as easy to set up. make sure you dont get a router that is for cable connection as they dont work, you need a router/modem for the phoneline connection
Without trying to offend, this is really basic stuff. What you’re looking for is a wireless adsl modem – you can get a really cheap one for around £30-40 from: novatech.co.uk, dabs.co.uk, scan.co.uk and so on.
The brand is generally a budget based issue, generally they all do the same job or have the same internals, just look different (there are exceptions though). Netgear, Belkin, etc. are pretty good. You shouldn’t need a very special one for such a short range (distance).
Odds are you know someone who can help, you’ve just got to have the courage to ask for it instead of anonymous internet people that should really go to bed!
