Will removing Internet explorer 8 affect my sky broadband connection?
Question by Paul A: Will removing Internet explorer 8 affect my sky broadband connection?
I downloaded Internet explorer 8 only to find that my internet toolbar had gone missing. Ive read through countless forums and tried everything from F11 to deleting reg keys. I went to remove it in add/remove programs and it said that it will affect numerous programs including my broadband supplier Sky.
I want to downgrade to 6 again but I am unsure of what to do.
Please, need your help.

you jackass. sorry!! internet explorer is low grade shit! download google chrome for beter security and faster fastness. IE8 i think is the toolbar that was actually coded so that it allowed viruses to enter your computer. maybe it was IE6 or 7. either way. its a piece of horse crap

First off do not use Internet Explorer 6 as it just won’t work in a few years, that version of the browser does not support any of the modern evolutions and is just a total pain for developers everywhere. You can read more about why you should never use IE6 here (http://ie6no.org/).
However, removing IE8 will not effect your sky broadband connection as this has nothing to do with the browser you are using. Before you remove it though make sure you do have atleast one other browser installed, get Google Chrome as it the best at the minute.
You can remove it using Add/Remove Programs.
It will not affect your Sky access.
