Question by Paul N: Why does my BT broadband icon not connect to the internet whenever I turn my PC on?
Whenever I turn my pc on and want to connect to the internet via BT broadband I need to delete the BT software and re-install. The internet then works perfectly. Everytime I turn my pc off this connection disappears and I have to repeat the procedure. Can somebody please help??????

remove the software and use interent explorer, see if it works without BT software because you don’t really need it.
What do you think? Answer below!

bt broadband is crap just get rid
Ughhhh!
Remove all the horrible software that comes on that stupid disc and throw it away.
Just use the Windows networking software to connect to the internet. In fact if you set it up properley you wont need to “connect” at all, it will just be on automatically when you open your browser such as Firefox or IE.
Go to control panel and then network settings.
All you need to know is that your router (hub) address is
192.168.1.254 (default gateway)
tell windows to obtain IP and DNS settings automatically.
If you want to type in the DNS settings they are
Primary 194.72.9.34
Secondary 194.72.0.114
if you get stuck, try hexus forums or thinkbroadband.com forums.
