when you have exceeded your broadband download limits, when is it renewed?
Question by Payneeee!: when you have exceeded your broadband download limits, when is it renewed?
I have gone over my broadband limits and they have told me I need to stop downloading for a while.
When does it renew?
I have sky broadband. (i think its 5mb speed, don’t really know, might be totally wrong.)
is there a way to get round this?

The way around it is to PAY for the EXTRA stuff your downloading – Very Expensive.
Or turn it off & wait until the start of the next bill date, Sky should tell you when its safe to start using again.
Example if you signed the contract on the 10th of a month, your renewal time will be around that area.

You will have to change your package from a capped service to an unlimited one then.
Your limit will reset at the end of your current month. To find out exactly when just have a look at your bill. As you always pay for the service in advance it will tell on the bill you get, your broadband runs from such and such date to such and such date.
The date you get your bill or when you signed your contract will have no bearing on it. The date runs from the day you were actually connected.
As you have a very small cap if you download this small free program.
It’s only 1 Mb ►

You can set it with your cap. It will show a running display of your usage [all up and downloads] and keep running logs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. It will also, work out daily what you have left for the rest of the month and how much you can use each day. It will also warn you when you are approaching that limit.
It will also give some idea how fast your using your limit.
