Question by tech guy: What is the cheapest way to get broadband to my laptop when on holiday in America but not Cafe’s and hot spots
I would like to get broadband on my laptop when I am travelling around America on holiday but do not want to use Internet cafe’s or Wi-Fi Hot spots as I will be in remote locations. What is the cheapest way to achieve this?

The easiest and cheapest way is to take advantage of the free internet access available at many hotels.
Many have a PC in the lobby that you could use to access a webmail service.
Others have a broadband ethernet connection in the room or sometimes a free wifi network.
Some hotels, like travel lodge will charge for a poor wifi service.
The only other way is by using mobile dial-up connection. It’s either that, which isn’t cheap*, or using other existing internet connections like cafes, hotels. airport and other public dining hotspots like McDonald’s.
*Dial-ups are mostly free nowadays but mobile calls will cost.
purchase a wireless dongle or contact BT they have good deals.E njoy your holiday
The only way then would be a mobile network broadband service similar to what we have in the UK. But what ever you do don’t get one in the UK to use over there. You will be charged International Rates which is about £3 per Mb.
Get it from a mobile company over there on a pay as you go otherwise you will have to pay for a 12 month contract.
