Sky states that the broadband will go live within 15 days of ordering. I was just wondering what other peoples experience of the time frame were. Thanks
I would love to get cable broadband (i currently have it), but the house we’re moving to is in a non cable area.

It takes approximately 10 days for yout telephone line to be upgraded to be broadband accessible. Normally, any time after that is when you will be connected. Most people I know who have Sky had about 10 -15 days. BT lines have to be upgraded and that takes 10 days, so you are about right with your estimation.

if it was me i would cancel sky straight away as they are as much use as a chocloate toothbrush they offer poor technical support and bad customer service this comment is through experience with them over the past 8 months
You don’t have this problem with cable. You order, connected usually within 48 hours and runs straight away. No phone line upgrades or testing and far superior to ADSL into the bargin!
When I got my 16mb it took about 2 weeks to live because of the upgrades needed in the area.
yes i got mine live within that rime line it all depends on bt engineers i think they have to do something to the line
