What is a good router to use with aol broadband?
Question by mclass: What is a good router to use with aol broadband?
I have aol broadband but i have had the same router for about 4 years now. What is a good router to get for aol service or should aol give me a new one?
I have had the same deal with aol for 7 years now and get unlimited usage. My max speed is about 2mb and the exchange is only half a mile away.
My main concern is with online gaming and getting the best connection possible.

2mb that’s very slow if the exchange is only half a mile. I would ring some other providers and see what speed they give you and compare it to what your paying now. All providers will give you a new router as well.
I would dump aol completely. Check Sam Knows to see if your exchange has been unbundled (LLU) and if it has, sign up for cheaper faster broadband.
“What is a good router?” Linksys. The service you have is irrelevant.
A router? you can get any router ..
IMO the Dlink Xtreme N 655 is an all around winner
Hope that helps
