10 GB is enough for browsing, IM and checking emails
You need more really, if you want to stream a lot of music, if you want to play games, or load lots of heavy content flash pages
If you exceed it:
First time you’re given a warning
Next time you will have to pay a fee for every GB you go over, if they don’t do this they will cut down your speed
Give your answer to this question below!
There’s no sky broadband package with a 10gb limit. There’s a 2gb limit on free broadband, 40gb on connect package, and the unlimited package has NO usage limits
If you’re on the 2gb package, if you go over 1 month you get a letter, if you go over again within a 3 month period you get automatically upgraded to the unlimited package
On the connect package, if you go over your limit you get traffic shaped during peak hours
There is NO charges for exceeding ANY download limits on sky broadband. The only possible charge is having your package upgraded if you’re on the basic broadband package, there’s absolutely no charge per GB over your allowance
Here’s a link to free software downloads that you can install. These can be used to meter incoming and outgoing gigabyte usage in real time. Many to choose from. Good luck!
