Reliable, good speed and value for money – all three definitely
I’ve had my cable connection for nearly 10 years and only had to call them once in all that time.
I’m on 20 Mb now and get 19 Mb+ nearly all the time (2.3 MB/sec download speed on servers that can spit it out that fast) I download Linux ISO’s (6-700 MB) quite often and usually get them in 5 – 7 minutes
I’ve had Virgin Cable for 5 years now and have NEVER had any problems at all with it. Unlike Sky which is very expensive in comparison and infinitely variable in speed, Virgin seems to be constant and has never broken down in any way. Apart from (only) two occasions when the server was down for about 4 hours, 20Mb is the quoted speed and its usually very close to that. I also have the TV and phone package and reckon its the best all-round provider. (And NO I don’t work for them)
I use Virgin on a 10mb connection and they are pretty damn good consistent and the throttle of connection is right when you would expect it 6 pm till 12ish then its clean again but they only really affect you if your downloading torrents otherwise general sites and streaming i never notice an issue.
also ive never had an issue with their help desk ive called a few times and although they were scripted i didnt want to set them on fire they got my issues fixed asap.
