Best answer:
Answer by ϟ
1. Speed that I can actually get
2. Price
3. Unlimited download limit
4. UK based support with freephone number.
What do you think? Answer below!

not just fast download speeds, but i need fast upload speeds,
also i need unlimited downloads which actually mean unlimited, not that fair use policy rubbish.
and fast speeds at peak times
That it isn’t BT
speed, get 20mb
One of the most important things is how fast the connection is going to be and also how cheap the internet provider is.
At least 90% accurate download speed…
Price, and uk based phone support.
Free security protection software.
I agree on Speed I can actually get – with TalkTalk at the moment and although the package gives up to 24mb I can only get 2mb because of the distance from the exchange.
Secondly is price – I will pay a certain amount for a good speed but not more than £15 a month (no matter how fast it is).
Thirdly – reliability – cant stand it when Internet connections keep going down.
Wish I could get Virgin Cable but its not in my area.
1. No throttling users during “peak” times
2. No throttling users when people arnt at work!!
3. No throttling users at all
I went from 10mb down to 2mb! WTF??
Speed
Reliability
lots of bandwidth
Good Support
Unlimited download limit
Good Price
Speed and Reliability are the main features that you should look for why choosing a broadband package. I think many people argue that the can get it cheaper but chepear isnt better.
LOL!
All the broadband suppliers are trying to increase their customer base at any cost. This is because, although they lose money now, they hope that in the future those customers will pay for further online services (like pay as you go movies etc.). Therefore they are offering services that they cannot service properly. I.e. the support service is non-existent. What is the answer? Either go for the cheapest (Virgin, Talk Talk) and fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong, or buy the dearest (BT) and fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong!
Thinh=gs to look for:
Speed (you will not always get what is advertised)
Extras (do you need static IP address for example?)
Contention ratio.(the number of neighbous who share your line). High contention ratio means that if you all go online at the same time (say early evening and streaming videos) your speed will fall right down.
