I have an o2 mobile broadband dongle on PAYG and would like to know what is the fastest and cheapest way to download movies and youtube clips ie; what file format etc.The signal I get is normally quite poor although it is 3G not hspa.

Using a PAYG dongle to do what you want to do to be honest you are wasting your time.

Your download speed will be down to a crawl and you will chomp through your allowance like there is no tomorrow!

You would be far better off getting a friend on an unlimited ADSL or cable connection to do it for you even if you pay him what your spending on your PAYG.

I mean what is the O2 rate £15 for 3 GB? He/she would sooner have that in their back pocket and the job will be done in a third or quarter of the time!
