I re-installed windows XP and I cannot access the Broadband internet link. This is working as I have connected via the laptop. So it is windows XP browser not finding the connection. It worked fine before. What do I need to do to get it to work. Do not suggest getting a Mac I already have one.

you need to install drivers for your network card. Look online, if you didn’t build your PC yourself, go to your manufactures website and look for download links, you’ll need to know the type of PC you bought and maybe the serial number.
Have you reinstalled the ethernet/motherboard drivers??
