Q&A: My BT broadband CD wont install on my new laptop?
Question by Peter R: My BT broadband CD wont install on my new laptop?
I just bought a new laptop and am installing bt broadband on it, yet i put the disc in click run and a message comes up from the BT disc saying i do not have administration privilege’s. I’ve checked and my profile says administrator so why am i unable to install the disc.
Is there anything i can do other than phoning BT. Someone help as there’s no point me having my laptop with no internet.

Install through BTYahoo software centre – you dont need the disc.

As Tom B said go to their software centre or, if you have it on your old computer you could copy it to a flash drive or disc and try using that to install.
It could well be a faulty disk. This happened to us and we got a similar message to yours. Maybe you could borrow another disk as you will still use your own settings or BT could send you a replacement. Sometimes there is a web page that contains the same details that are on the disk so you could check that out too with BT websites.
