Q&A: How do I get my laptop enabled for wireless broadband?

Question by babs48: How do I get my laptop enabled for wireless broadband?
I bought a wireless router for wireless connection to my laptop. The desktop PC is connected to the router with ethernet cable and works fine.

Is there something else I need to buy or do to make the laptop enabled for wireless broadband?

You need to have a wireless card for your laptop. If you don’t know if you have one, call your laptop maker and ask them. (Dell, toshiba, gateway, etc…)

You can also check the device manager tool on your computer if it’s using windows. It might show a wireless card. Go to the control panel, then system and click around the tabs until you find device manager.
