In the event of a new build how can a home be connected to the network?

Hi Jamie
as part of the planning of a building estate telephone lines are part of the infrastructure that is added along with water, gas sewerage, and electricity.
so the line to the property is in place.
some distance away is a primary connection point some times called a pillar where cables can be connected. these go back to a cabinet yet again where they can be connected.
this is the scheme here in the united kingdom.
the telephone line is required as broadband is a radio system on top of the base band telephone system.
