Q&A: Can I take my broadband connection overseas or will I have to buy one there?
Question by livingdreams07: Can I take my broadband connection overseas or will I have to buy one there?
I’m going to Australia for a year in January 2007. I need to have my own internet connection so I can stay in touch with family and friends back home easier, without having to trek to a café. So I was wondering, is it possible to just bring the broadband I have with me and use it there, or will I have to purchase a local one?
A few months ago an American girl came to stay in our town in the UK for a few months. She brought her connection with her. But, it would probably be easier not to?

You’ll have to get one there. There is broadband available in Sydney and Melbourne.
