Q&A: can I mobile phone interrupt a wireless broadband signal?

Question by Lion Hearted Girl: can I mobile phone interrupt a wireless broadband signal?
I’ve lost connection to my broadband and I’ve been told it could be electrical devices causing it. I can’t think of anything that could be causing it. Is it possible that my touchscreen phone could be causing an interruption? I’ve had it for a month and it was fine but now I can’t log on at all?

no. cell phones and wireless routing for computers through broad band run on completely different wave lengths and types. cell phones use Satellite feeds like mini radios from ground receivers based upon where you live and how close you are to one can effect the signal. Broad band runs through Satellite as well but is usually sent from one location in the area, granted that area is probably really big. so to answer you question no your cell phone be it touch screen or not will not and cannot interrupt your internet connection..I would recommend that you try restarting your modem and see if that solves it or just try closing some windows or applications to lessen the usage on the device. hope this helps
