You should be able to just turn on the laptop, enable wireless and search for networks.
Log on to your network with the key that was given to you (on a small card.)
If you do not have wireless on your laptop, use network cable to attach from your lan port to the router.
Your sky e-mail should be just the same once you log on to sky.

I’m not going to be able to help you much here. But I’m sure there will be others who can. But they may need more information from you…..
Is your laptop wireless enabled?
Which operating system are you using?
Details of your sky modem?
Are you trying to connect with a USB cable or Ethernet?
And maybe other things as well. I’ve never had sky anything. So I’m not sure how that works.
Try and give more information. And you will probably get the answer you need. Good luck…:-)
