Is Virgin Media Broadband good and can it download torrents? I’m asking as my current provider, Tiscali, doesn’t let me 
. Are the 8Mbps speeds actually around 8Mbps and are the routers good; is the service reliable?

It is fairly good and does let you download torrents.
We had slight trouble with it, but only because there is not enough firbe optic cables in the area. We’re in Leeds where there are 30,000 students using it. In my student area it was fairly slow and no where near the 20mb/s we paid for.
But it didnt matter as it was cheap, allowed torrents and served us perfectly wel.l,

My virginmedia broadband is currently 10mbps. I don’t know how good the router is because I use a different one but the service I get is great. I have had no downtime at all in the 2 years that I have been a customer.
