Is there a cable company that lets you sign up to TV without taking the broadband and phone?
Question by pearldaisy: Is there a cable company that lets you sign up to TV without taking the broadband and phone?
When I moved here 3 years ago, flat was wired up to NTL. Didn’t want to sign up to that at the time to so my neighbour connected me to the analogue roof aerial for 5 basic channels. This blew down in last year’s storms. I’m in a deep basement in a high building (in London) – Freeview box doesn’t work for me. I would like to sign up to a cable company but they only offer this bundled in with broadband and phone, whereas I’m signed up (quite happily) to Talktalk. Does anyone know of a cable company that lets you just buy the tv connection? At present, I can only watch tv through a storm of electronic hail and the sound keeps cutting out. It’s like living in the late fifties!
Thanks for the advice – all very helpful. The reason I can’t get workmen onto the roof is that my landlord, Notting Hill Housing Trust, needs to give permission for access / actual access for me to pay contractors to go onto roof. but however times I write to them, they never answer me, so have given up the idea of accessing the roof, which is why am looking into digital option.
