Yes but expensive.
You can get it on a mobile and also via a satellite connection.

Yes, depending on your computer and location. I have listed the website below. Boingo.com is the world’s largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots – 100,000+ and counting. If there is a hotspot in your area or where you travel to you are set. You’ll want to check out all of their plans and see which one (if any) works for you. I know of people who have used Boingo successfully in several areas of Africa (including South Africa). Again, it depends on where you are located so be sure to read all of the fine print before signing up. But there are no long term contracts (month to month if you like). And no, I am not writing a commercial for them. Just a satisfied user.
I didn,t have a landline and i got broadband from virgin,it was £30 connection fee and its £10 a month,I got my computer in december last year so i don,t think the price will have altered, hope this helps
Our old virgin media connection was Cable broadband, not having a landline just means you can’t get ADSL or broadband on the phone line
don’t know what the ohters are on about ><
are you picking it up by wireless. if you have a wireless card you might have a nieghbor who has an unprotected wireless access you are connecting to
