Is it possible to improve Broadband speed in the UK?
Question by Mark_W: Is it possible to improve Broadband speed in the UK?
I have read about Broadband accelerators, but I am sceptical. Can they actually improve broadband speed when connected to a ‘normal’ line which gets e.g. 5meg?

It is very possible to increase broadband speeds, 1st Make sure you are plugged directly in BT‘s Master socket. Take faceplate off,
2nd Go and buy an Eithernet Router Cable as they support high line Speeds than the thin modem cable.
3rd If you can find some non manufactureer firmware for your router/modem you can change some of the options they normally lock out
What do you think? Answer below!

No, the speed you get from specific websites depends on your WAN speed and that websites speed. And if you’re unlucky enough to be with BT, you also have an IP profile that could lower your connection to the next lower Mbps.
The only improvement you can get is either Fibre Optics from BT or Fibre Optics/Cable from Virgin.
The infrastructure in the UK is 100 years old and has never been properly upgraded. That’s why you have such ridiculous situations that you only have a few hundred exchanges country-wide.
