Question by grae: is it possible to connect an old laptop without usb or ethernet ports to broadband?
the pcmia slot doesnt work either. i have an old laptop that i think should be able to connect to my broadband if i use linux DSL, but i dont know if i can phisically connect it. at the moment i have an external modem that plugs into a parallel type port for dial up.

If it has a PCMCIA card slot you may be able to find a card with an RJ-45port on it – an Ethernet port.
