If I have TalkTalk line rental + broadband, how easy is it to change broadband company?
Question by Bobby P: If I have TalkTalk line rental + broadband, how easy is it to change broadband company?
I want to change broadband company but don’t want to lose service by cancelling one before the other…
Also the companies say I need to have a BT Line but I currently pay line rental to TalkTalk, is this a problem?
Ta!

By “BT line” they mean copper wires, not a cable connection.
Don’t cancel your TalkTalk, you have a right to a “transfer”. Ask TalkTalk for a MAC (migration code) – they will wriggle and squirrm, but insist. If they are a pain in the neck, threaten an Ofcom complaint.
Now choose a new provider, give them the MAC, and they will organise it all for you. Remember to ask for “simultaneous provide” so you get your phone and broadband changed on the same day.
Your MAC is only valid for 30 days, so use it or lose it.
